![]() ![]() I just built a custom layout that is sent to my computer, and then back out via midi usb to my modular synthesizer. Pretty fantastic app once you get it set up. No longer making "capture attention" required was a HUGE improvement (made it possible to make surfable/strummable instrument designs), but it’d be even better if you could hit both controls at once when they overlap. The ability for touch to pass through and hit multiple controls at once (not just the on that’s on top). Ive spent a few hours with the Lua scripts and it’s not worth the effort for time based effects like this (may as well use max for live).Ģ. Attack and release values for local-data and midi cc’s, as well as the ability to ADD TO and SUBTRACT FROM (not just SET) cc and other values (prefer hermmutt lobby’s beatsurfing app from 2013 for this reason). Great app, the panel menus are pretty clunky but eh whatever (It’d be nice to have notes instead of numbers for midi note-on values etc.), and being able to copy and paste messages instead of entire controls would be huuuge (copy/paste parameters from/to different controls) but there’s 2 things that keep it from being truly amazing.ġ. We've already got a whole bunch of features cooking that were just not quite ready yet. We've supported and updated TouchOSC Mk1 for more than 10 years and we're planning to do the same for this new version. For less complex tasks we've added local messages - simply wire up controls to transmit or display values no need to break out the big (code) guns. Use the precision of your desktop's mouse and keyboard for fine-grained, detailed editing - test-drive and preview in real-time on all connected touch-screen devices at the same time.Ī lightweight and fast scripting engine allows deep access to all aspects of your controller and enables limitless customization and interactivity. Multiple instances of TouchOSC can be connected on the network for synchronized editing. On top of OSC over UDP & TCP, we support every type of wired & wireless MIDI connection your device can offer, including MIDI over USB. TouchOSC supports sending and receiving any number of MIDI and OSC messages on many connections simultaneously. A GPU-powered, fast and advanced integrated editor is part of TouchOSC on all platforms - create the most complex of control layouts with ease and precision. We've listened for the past 10 years and we've re-written the application from the ground up - with speed, features and usability in mind. And I really want to make it work for me.Brand-new app. I know from reading posts here that this works. I'm off to setup for tonight's show, but any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps there is some setting somewhere that I missed, but I can't figure it out. I have yet to get either the ipad or the iphone to communicate with DMXIS over the Airport Express network. The most frustrating part is, I had both the iphone and the ipad working once on my home network. When I push a button or move a fader in TouchOSC, the green transmit light flickers, but I can't get it to control DMXIS. I have no trouble importing layouts to either the iphone or the ipad. On the iphone/ipad under Connections - OSC, I have: On DMXIS, TouchOSC Bridge is is checked under Audio/MIDI Settings. I was told to open the Bridge first, so I start there. I have no trouble transferring my layouts to my iphone or ipad. ![]() I've setup several different layouts (thanks to Rob). I connect my ipad/iphone and my laptop to my house network. I shutdown the firewall while trying to make this work. PC laptop running Windows 10, 64 bit with latest updates. On either my house network or on my Apple Airport Express network. Now, for some reason I can't get TouchOSC to communicate with DMXIS from either my iphone or my ipad. I've searched the forum and haven't found posts relating to my specific problem.įirst, a shout out to Rob (robare99) for all his assistance in helping me to understand how DMXIS works with TouchOSC and how layouts work. ![]()
